Whether you enjoy taking part in sports yourself or just prefer watching the professionals, the Nassauer Hof has a wealth of opportunities all within easy reach of the hotel.
The idyllic Kurpark right next door to the hotel is just perfect for an early morning jog well away from the stess and hectic of everyday life.
Golfers are spoilt for choice with the range of golf courses in the vicinity: the Wiesbaden Golf club that enjoys the status of being Germany's oldest club, affords wonderful far reaching views over the city. The Idstein golf course - just a 30 drive away - is a 36-hole course that harmonises well with its natural surroundings with views of both the Taunus and the Feldberg. The Main Taunus golf course half-way between Frankfurt and Wiesbaden is a creation of the legendary golf course architect Bernhard von Limburger. If you need a teeing off time or transport to the golf course please speak to our concierge.
All year round the the beautiful grounds of the Biebricher Schlosspark are the setting for top level sports of all kinds including the international horse-riding championships held there each Whitsun and numerous other events of world prestige such as the magnificent "Pferdenacht" opening gala night.
In spring 2010 the grounds in front of the Kurhaus saw the arrival of a myriad of motor sport fans for a presentation by the DTM “Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft” (German Touring Car Championship). This was the first event of its kind a\and was so well received that it is bound to soon become a firm fixture in the Wiesbaden event calendar.
An equally fascinating event is the 70.3 Half Ironman that is held in Wiesbaden every August. Thousands of spectators line the route to cheer the athletes as they swim, cycle and run their way to the finishing line right opposite the Nassauer Hof to complete this unbelievingly challenging half-day event.
